Valleyfairzone

Went to the park today to check out Rock Band Live & hang out with a bunch of friends. It was a decent day, got a little bit rainy towards the last half of it. Anyway, since I was with a ton of non-Valleyfair loving friends, I rode a bunch of rides I haven't ridden in awhile. Here's the list:

-Steel Venom x2
-Chaos x1
-Enterprise x1
-Monster x1
-High Roller x1
-Mad Mouse x1
-Wheel of Fortune x1
-Antique Autos x1
-Go Karts x2
-Adventure Golf x1

Decently fun day. Got to check out Rock Band Live. Strolled up around 2:45, waited a little bit & then they herded everyone into the Galaxy Theater. Wasn't too big of a crowd which was a little disappointing, but with the forecasted weather, it's a miracle they did draw the crowd they got. The show was a little bit cheesy, but it was still very enjoyable. The cast was funny, the singing was actually pretty darn good, and the set was great! I really wish the park would use the Galaxy to its full potential. They have a LOT of space & Rock Band Live proved that you can really get a lot of things on stage & make a show great in regards to the set pieces.

Anyway, I snapped a few shots in the park today. Didn't venture back to Excalibur to see what was going on mainly because it was running. Aw darn. No more Excalibur demolition plans for 2011 I guess. I spose we'll have to find more markings & make up some more bogus rumors as to where the 500 ft. tall B&M is going.   Hope you all enjoy the pics!

The Benchwarmerz were fantastic today!

Riptide was drenching guests as usual.

Wild Thing through the trees.

Here we find the Rock Band Live setup they had out in front of the Galaxy Theater.

It was actually pretty cool. No singing though which disappointed some of the VFZ folks.

They're building a new Putt Putt game over in the Midway. Should be cool!

Shoutout to all ICEE Mix-It-Up fans out there. This one's for you.

Heading over to Rock Band Live, we found this sweet setup!

Stage Door Left.

Beginning of the Show

The two kids were the Rock Band VIP players.

Rock on dude.

Kind of reminded me of School of Rock.

But the legend, of the rent was WAY HARDCORE!

The end of the show.

Nice to see they planted a TON of trees. Imagine those in about 20 years!

This kid was breakdancing to the Benchwarmerz. Definitely impressive.

That's all I have for ya! Rock Band Live was pretty darn cool so check it out! It's here through the 27th of June in the Galaxy Theater so try it out! You might even end up being on stage with the crew. Until next time,
