Photo TR: Opening Day of Haunt!

Howdy.

So yesterday I worked the Opening Night of Haunt in CarnEvil, but I did get the chance to check out the park during the day. Myself, r78, and VF7 (and we saw Neers too) got rides on Wild Thing (AMAZING), Monster (So underrated), Power Tower (Sensational), and the Flying Trapeze of Death. Overall it was a great day to walk around in the park. Perfect temperature, perfect rides on everything, and overall the Haunt atmosphere cannot be beaten. Favorite time of year by far. Anyway, here are some random pics from yesterday.

That concludes this Opening Day Trip Report. We'll have a general ValleySCARE trip report coming next weekend. Should be horrifying! I'm off to go slide around the BigTop for a couple of hours tonight. Make sure to come out & visit the Haunt sometime this Fall. It's going to be one to remember. Thanks for reading!

CarnEvil was by far the best Haunt last night. The squishy wall felt like it would never end. Matt great job as the greeter. When I saw big boy in Asylum I was like BIG BOY! And he was all like I got your nose haha. I do have to say I kind of like Carnage's spinning tunnel more cause it was more confusing. Hellside was ok. The guy with the bucket got me the most. When the lady said watch out for the piggys I was like what your kind of creepy. But then a guy in a blue and pink pig prosthetic got me on the bridge. The guy with the guitar was awesome. MCBS seemed understaffed and I almost went out an exit, but a blackout saved me and told me to go the other way so I didn't have to get out and then wait again. I must have never really noticed this, or it might be new, but the small room with all the missing posters is by far one of the creepiest things at Haunt. Does anyone know if they just took the pictures of some of the actors or like people who work around the park? BCC was ok - I went in when a ton of people were in there so I didn't get too many scares. It was just a like 3 hour visit last night, but I am going again on a long whole night trip sometime in October and I might even go twice more, but I don't know at this point. Overall CarnEvil and Asylum were by far the best last night. CarnEvil won just a little though cause It was really good and scary last night. Don't know if this is just me but did Asylum seem shorter this year? Wish I saw you slide last night Matt but you will have to scare me another time. I would go into more details but I don't want to spoil it for people who still havn't gone but My next review will be more details.

I agree with everything you said! Good Job Matt as the guy at the beggining. Later in the night I saw you working in the room right after you got out the squishy room. then you screamed " WHERE ARE YOU GOING" at me. Haha! Carnage did have a better tunnel. It was brighter,faster,and you could see through the ground you were walking on. I think CarnEVIL and carnage should switch tunnels

Yep - Later in the night I had free reign to go where ever I wanted to work in the maze and believe me when I say that spot is gold. Loved working there. Thanks both of you for the kind words! We've had a lot of positive comments with this year's BigTop. Hope you all come out again!
