2010 Build-A-Haunt Contest

Hey everyone!

I'd like to welcome you all to the 2010 Build-A-Haunt Contest. Back in 2008, we had a Build-A-Haunt contest that went pretty well actually. Due to the loss of the forums, we have no recollection of who won, or how things went, but we do remember that it was a pretty awesome contest!

This contest starts today and goes through October 1, 2010. The concept is simple, you build a Haunted Maze, Attraction, or Scare Zone off of a given template that we provide. Where is this Build-A-Haunt located? The Go Kart Track. Between now and October 1st, you are to make a Haunt themed to whatever your imagination can create (please keep it PG-13 though!).

Details will be key to your Haunt. Here is a list of requirements that must be completed before you are able to submit your Haunt.

Requirements:
- Layout (Taken from the template below)
- 5 Props that fit the theme of your Haunt
- A Name for your Haunt
- Minimum of 1 song that will be the "Soundtrack" to your Haunt
- Description/Story to your Haunt
- Minimum of 2 Characters/Monsters in your Maze. Pick out their costume, accessories, props, etc.

The brown box (station of Go Karts) can be used as a queue line, indoor section, or fog filled tent.   The area with the black perimeter can be used as room for a maze, scare zone, or whatever your mind can come up with. We ask that your maze stays within the boundaries.

Mentioned above, the contest will end on October 1, 2010 at approximately 11:59pm. There will then be a voting period that will take place from October 2, 2010 through October 22, 2010. After voting ends, the winner will be announced and will win a prize package from the ValleySCAREzone Prize Vault. More details regarding the great prize package will be released towards the end of the contest.

Ahhh the 2008 contest. I believe I remember it was someone who didn't sign up again and made like a school house who won. For the song do you have to just name it or do you have to put in like a youtube link? I don't know if you forgot or this just isn't a rule but you had us last time decribe like 3-5 characters possibly with pictures. I don't know if you want to add that but it was kind of a key element I remembered. Thanks.

Yes you can post the song in a Youtube Video link or just the name and artist of the song. Also I added the 3-5 character rule.
